The coaching relationship is one of deep listening and reflection. The coach gently offers questions and observations to help the client unlock new ways of problem solving and goal setting. The coaching relationship begins with an intake contract which sets out desired outcomes and initial commitment to engage in coaching. Typically, sessions are once or twice a month, for an hour, by phone or zoom.

Group coaching is when one coach meets with several clients who may or may not be working on the same goals. The value of group coaching is that all participants gather new insights, like “iron sharpening iron”.

Group coaching is helpful for clergy groups who are wanting to add a focus to their meeting time.

Congregational coaching is when the coach works with a team, who then facilitates with the congregation, a series of conversations and activities to give direction to the whole system. This is particular coaching is ideal for times of transition and visioning
